John F. Burke

John F. Burke, Sales Associate

I pride myself on my professionalism. A person's reputation is the most important asset he or she has. Perfection is impossible, but the pursuit of perfection is noble. Integrity, right intention, and right effort are the benchmarks of good character.

My path to real estate was a winding one eventually leading back home. I was born and raised in Turnersville, NJ spending my summers in Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Avalon, and eventually my parents' vacation home in Stone Harbor, NJ. I'm a south Jersey native who graduated from St. Augustine Prep (Go Hermits). I then journeyed away from home for more than a decade. I graduated with a B.A. in philosophy from Fordham University (Go Rams). I worked and acquired invaluable insight and experience in restaurant service and eventual management in western Massachusetts, the Gold Coast of Florida, and historic Philadelphia. I also served as a public school teacher in the Washington Heights section of NYC as a member of the NYC Teaching Fellowship. Working with people, recognizing their needs and worries, and making the most out of every experience and interaction was ingrained in me.

This skill set has allowed me to adapt to the real estate industry starting in 2010 and as a licensed Realtor since 2011. I've found a passion for this work. I believe strongly in the long-term strength of the market here at the Jersey shore. My initiation was in the depths of one of the greatest real estate recessions of history. This forced me to learn the nuances of the market and make sure every interaction and sale is done in accord with the highest standard, down to the smallest detail. The keys to success are understanding my clients and their needs, honesty and concern, market knowledge, and attention to detail. My goal is to serve in the acquisition or sale of property in a way that alleviates worry and helps my clients rest assured in their property decisions. Homes and money are serious and deserve serious attention, but people are always the most important entities in any interaction or transaction. Contact me for former client referrals to attest to this.
