Alexander Huffard, Sales Associate

I am a true born and raised local, having lived in both Cape May and Atlantic county since I was born. Being a member of the Ocean City High School Class of 2009 and went directly to Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University) for Business, Communications, and Philosophy. I didn't set out to go to school for all three but that is where my passions brought me. In 2013, I graduated with a Bachelors and two Minors.

Before the age of 17, I was promoted to be the manager of an iconic boardwalk store as I proved to be incredibly dependable, had a great tact for working with people, trustworthiness, and my ability to lead a team. I found I was at my best working with people. I would go on to manage other businesses while I was in school working year round for the university as well as other small businesses working 70+ hours a week. In 2010, I joined my family's business in the home healthcare industry where I started at an entry level position and quickly earned several promotions to Director of Operations. My experience working 24/7/365 with my clients and their family members during such a crucial and sometimes intense time during the life of a loved one taught me 'professionalism' is not an act performed between ‪9am-5pm but a way of living every moment of every day built upon virtues like honesty, accountability, empathy, and fortitude.

With the major reforms to the healthcare systems, in early 2016 I left the family's business and begin a journey to find what my next venture was to be. My resume, references, character, and reputation permitted me to have many opportunities to consider.

I was approached by a longtime friend John Burke, who was enthusiastic about starting a Sales Team at Long & Foster. And after meeting with Burke and Drew Fasy, who is the Broker as well as a member of his team, the Fasy group, the decision was very simple. The Long and Foster in Sea Isle City would be the home of the Fasy Group and the newly formed Burke & Co.

I am a 'hometown' kind of person and I knew home is where I wanted to be. I have a passion for personal development and helping others do the same. As much as the world and economic markets have changed, I believe good business will always be good people helping good people.
